Investing in Children

A Culture of Giving.

The Investing in Children initiative of IndUS made several contributions during the year 2009. IndUS contributed $ 7000 to "Do It" campaign of Post Crescent, toward purchase of backpacks and school supply for children in need in the Fox Cities area.

In addition, $ 4000 were donated to subsidize childcare for student-parents attending University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, University of Wisconsin – Fox Valley, and Fox Valley Technical College, Appleton.

IndUS also awarded a $ 2000 grant to ADAIRE (Green Bay) toward building Learning Centers in villages of Balabhadrapur, Kalyanpur, and Ghusuriadhia, all located in the state of Orissa, India.Shama Inc (Stevens Point) received $ 1,000 to purchase books, audio-visual equipment and furniture for school libraries used by tribal children in the villages of Mhaskal and Adivali in Maharashtra, India.
